Building DescriptionOne Museum Mile sits at the northeast corner of Fifth Avenue and East 109th Street just off Duke Ellington Circle at the northern tip of Central Park across from Harlem Meer Lake.
Although the building rises 19 floors, it contains just 113 apartments, most of which are two and three-bedroom units. The residential component of the building starts on the fifth floor. The mid to upper floors offer extraordinary views across Central Park. The Africa Center occupies about 90,000 SF across several floors in the low-rise component of the building. The Fifth Avenue "Museum Mile" contains some of the world's most renowned museums, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim, The Jewish Museum and the Museum of the City of New York. In 2010, the city extended the "Museum Mile" designation further north to include 110th Street. There is a common roof deck with season pool. During the original sales launch, the building was marketed as 1280 Fifth Avenue. A subsequent marketing campaign re-branded the building as One Museum Mile.
